Top Tips for staying fit during Lock-down

We are currently being advised by the government to workout at home or get outside once a day to stay healthy. This is honestly essential and most beneficial for mental wellbeing and staying as fit and active as possible.


Many of us have our routines of sports, activities, running, or going to the gym in-between or outside of work hours. The transition into lockdown will be easier for you following these hot tips:


  1. STICK TO IT

Set a time to workout. The night before set a time for the day where you can take an hour to be active in your favorite way. No matter how badly you don’t want to, the reward will be uplifting.


  1. SOMETHING DIFFERENT 

Try something that you wouldn’t usually do. go for a run, head out cycling, maybe even a walk? I’ve been doing a lot of Banded workouts that’s been hugely challenging but motivating doing something different.


  1. BUBBLE BUDDIES

If your bubble concludes your flatmates, maybe you’re stuck with your family, or even better it’s just you and your partner. Make it fun to do something together, create competitions. Who can walk the most Km’s in a week?



  1. AROUND THE HOUSE

Cleaning and working out! Now that’s a deadly duo. Get outside and garden, dusting the ceiling or maybe under the couch, or wiping down the windows! Each of those is 30 minutes of working muscles you didn’t know you had.



  1. DON’T PRESSURE YOURSELF

This is a unique time and no one knows of how this can pan out. There’s going to be a lot of people thinking they have to make the most of the time at home, but truly it’s a time that is going to tire you out, mentally. Take your time and take the pressure off.
